What is Public Housing?

Public housing was established to create communities of eligible low income apartments or small townhouses for both families and elderly.

Who is Eligible?

Eligibility is based on:

1) Annual gross income

2) Whether you qualify as elderly, a person with a disability, or as a family

3) U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status.

If you are eligible, the housing authority will check your references to certify you and your family will be good tenants.

How to Apply?

There are a few different ways one can apply

2) Stop by the office

3) Give us a call at 207.873.2155 and have an application mailed to you
